And workshops are only the beginning - there’s plenty of fun planned the whole day for writers of all ages!

WHATS ON FOR WALK INS?

• Author panels on the main stage - hear from a huge selection of our authors and illustrators on topics close to every writers heart

• Story times, crafts and songs for younger kids running all day under the Faraway Tree

• Check out early samples of our presenters work when they were budding writers/illustrators on our (whats this called again - who can assemble it?) 

• All day drop-in creative spaces for book making, collage, cartooning and drawing, with special guests 

• Snag some fab new books from Squishy Minnie festival book shop

• Pick up or order your festival T-shirt/Tote (order here)

• Meet some of our presenters and get your books signed

• Chill out and read, chat, daydream, write at the Mount Alexander Youth tent

• Romp or relax in the Steiner kids teepee 

• Face painting, clowning, bubbles, live music

• Hot food and drinks, bbq, ice cream, water refill station

• End the day with our Grand Story Battle and watch some of our special guests and budding writers to improvise the best story (in words and pictures) on the spot.
